It is still a very cold spring. But summer is in my head...found a very thick piece of leather. This is the result. The stones I found last summer in south Brittany on the beach.
Of course I couldn't wait. Outside the weather is horrible: cold and windy. Inside the house I started with the new leather. So spring is coming (already in my heart)...
Why am I making things so difficult for myself?
'Inventing' a new leather bag, again and again. Nobody does that. I guess I am addicted to it. When things get too simple, it's no fun anymore.. So let me struggle. New shape, new color, new leather... Indeed, look here: I can't wait to begin! Autumn falls down..
The weather changed dramaticly these past days, but never mind. we just have to go for it. Last week I joined the Open Atelier Route, what means that people could come to meet me, surrounded by my paintings, pastels and leather bags. Saturday was overcrowded, but- what a disappointment- Sunday was very quiet. It had several reasons. There were too many events in the neighborhood, I guess.
But never mind, now I have profit of my new arranged house and garden, and, besides that, I have got some beautiful compliments. One man looked around for half an hour and admidded that , from all the artists he visited that day, my work made the most impression on him. Well, that makes happy. |
